February 2016 Monthly Options Pre-Trade Analysis

Friday February 12th 2:30 PM Posted in: Daily Blog

February kicks off 2016 with statistically favorable metrics compared to the previous month. For starters, the winning history is on par with the overall average for the monthly options strategy. Additionally, the average return for February lead's January's average by 20 points. It is important to note that, much like January, the total number of trades is on the lower side compared to other months. This indicates a higher degree of variance and unpredictability by our historic data. Be wary of market forces this month, as it promises for very difficult trades. Always focus on smaller gains in challenging trade setups such as these.

Key Statistics

  • 122 Total trades
  • 104 Winning trades
  • 85.25% Winning history
  • 79.88% Average return
