Analysis
February has always been the first glimpse in a new year of what the Monthly Options strategy can produce. Our analysis of past trades position this month as a keystone for the strategy overall and well above the results recorded in past Januaries.
Immediately, you will note a significantly higher winning history that is more in keeping with what we expect out of this strategy. Additionally, the average return is nearly double the upper limit of our target profit range. Both items are excellent indicators of overall past success for Monthly Options trades in February.
A review of the trade history shows more the same; the vast majority of option picks were clear winners for the strategy in the past. Notably, 2016 proved quite challenging and 2009 was a complete loss.
Perhaps the most interesting story here is the mixed results of successful picks. Normally, we expect to see an underlying stock (that we are still trading) or two with an unbroken winning history, however, none of the past picks have had such luck.

Trade Recommendations
The key takeaways here are pretty clear. February has produced solid picks in the past, but it is clear that the best path to success has been diversifying amongst our picks. Your own personal experience with these core set of stocks may help determine your path forward this afternoon. Finally, we must mention that next week kicks off with a Federal holiday, meaning no trade activity on Monday which means we will have a reduced time frame to produce our returns. There are no two ways about it, that means increased risk.
Target Profit Recommendations
Stick to the standard target profit range. Diversify with investments you know or are more comfortable with.
